ORDERS
We no longer have a retail location - all our products are available for purchase online.
We have a number of retail partners that carry our products in store across the country. You can find a retailer near you here. Please note, not all retailers carry our full line of products.
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and PayPal. Order data is encrypted so all credit card information is safe and secure.

If you’re ever unsatisfied with any product, please e-mail info@consonant.com and we’ll do everything we can to make it right.
Please e-mail us at info@consonant.com as soon as you can after placing the order. If we’re able to catch the shipment before it is sent out we’re glad to facilitate the change.

SHIPPING & RETURNS
We stand by our products, but we also understand that not every product is going to work for everyone. If you're not satisfied with your order, or you're having issues with your products, please send an email to info@consonant.com and we'll do our best to make it right.
OUR POLICY
If you purchased your product on consonant.com:
- We are happy to offer a full refund or a replacement for any product, within reason, within 6 months of the date of purchase. Products must be returned to Consonant to receive a refund.
- If there is a product quality issue we will replace the product up to 12 months after purchase.
- We can provide a return shipping label. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the final refund amount.
- The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
- We can not replace lost, stolen or product broken by the consumer.
If you purchased a Consonant product from one of our retail partners:
- The product must be returned to the point of purchase.
- If your return is outside the return window of the retailer and you have issues with the product, please send us an email with proof of purchase and we will work on a solution with you.
PLEASE NOTE, we are only able to issue a return for a specific product one time. If you repurchase a product that was previously returned, it will be considered final sale unless there is an issue with the product performance or stability.
We work with a number of shipping carriers to ensure the best, most cost effective delivery of each orer. Orders destined to other countries will be delivered by domestic mail carriers.
We aim to get your products to you as quickly as we can. We typically pack orders within 3 business days of receiving it.
During sale periods, it may take us a few extra days to get through the volume of orders. After that, shipping times vary depending on location. Please see below for estimated delivery times:

BC: 5-7 days

NB, NS, PEI, SK: 3-5 days
NL, YK, NU: 8-11 days

*Please note, this is just an estimation and can be impacted by things out of our control like bad weather. If shipping to a rural area, ship times may be a bit longer.
We charge a flat rate on orders. We're pleased to offer free shipping on orders over $99 after discounts and points redemption, and before tax, to Canada and the United States. Please see below for shipping costs if your order total is below the free shipping threshold.

Yes! We purchase carbon credits proportional to the carbon impact of every single shipment to completely offset it.
PRODUCTS
The shelf life varies by product, but generally our products stay fresh for 12-18 months after opening. Look for the jar icon with a number in the middle on the back of your product packaging to see how many months it will stay good after opening. Consonant products are made with all natural ingredients so they will react to extreme heat or cold. Ensure your products are properly closed and store them at room temperature and out of direct sunlight to maximize product life and efficacy.
As a Canadian owned and operated business, all of our skincare,with the exception of our hydrocolloid patches, and body care products are proudly made in Canada. We source the highest quality ingredients from around the world but manufacture the final products locally. Accessories are sourced based on quality and may not be made in Canada.
We created the Consonant Clean Ingredient Standard as a clear commitment to a healthier product to support your body, mind, soul, and space. We formulate our products with only 100% natural ingredients, meaning they are either a botanical extract or oil, have been derived from a natural source, or are identical to molecules already found in nature. Our products don’t contain irritating ingredients, non-sustainably sourced ingredients, or ingredients that have been scientifically shown to lead to any negative health outcomes.
Most of our products are gluten-free with a few exceptions:
- Our Hand Creams and Face Creams contain wheat germ oil
- Our Shampoo and Conditioner contain hydrolyzed wheat protein
- Our baby products and Oatmeal Open Stock Soap contain oatmeal
While oatmeal itself doesn't contain gluten, we can't guarantee that the oatmeal hasn't come in contact with wheat before it gets to our facility. Our Vitamin E + Oat Serum contains oat oil but is certified gluten-free.
All of our products are vegan apart from our Body Lotions, which contain beeswax.
Yes, all of our products are Peta Cruelty-Free Certified, meaning none of our products or ingredients are tested on animals. We only test on ourselves and willing human friends.
We use GMO-free, organic ingredients whenever possible. Many of our products are made with 70-90% certified organic, GMO-free ingredients, but we don’t have any products that are certified 100% GMO-free.
We believe in skin science. That’s why we evaluate not just ingredients for safety and efficacy, but we also carry out third party clinical trials to compare our final products against industry leaders. Clinically proven means you can be confident that Consonant products will outperform both natural and traditional skin care based on third-party double-blind testing methodology.
The products you may want avoid are: Maximum Glycolic Meta Serum, DHE Mask, Pimple Patches, Natural Foaming Face Wash and Vitamin C + Licorice Serum. Some doctors recommend avoiding salicylates, like those found in the Maximum Glycolic Meta Serum, and DHE Mask at 0.1%. Some doctors also recommend avoiding licorice extract which is found in our Vitamin C + Licorice Extract at 1% so we recommend checking in with your doctor before using them.
When making products with natural ingredients there can be slight differences in texture, scent and colour from batch to batch. Much like wines from different years can vary. There shouldn't be a difference in the efficacy of the product, it is just a cosmetic change.

We recommend storing your Consonant products at room temperature and out of direct sunlight to maximize product life and efficacy. We also suggest you ensure the product is closed tightly after each use.
Consonant soap comes with a dehydrated loofah slice. Rehydrate the loofah slice so it puffs up. Place your soap on top of the slice when you're not using it. This lets air circulate around the bar so it can dry completely.
