A Closing Message From Our Founder
There’s never an easy way to share hard news. After 16 years in business, we have made the difficult decision to close Consonant by the end of the year.
Over COVID, our bricks and mortar stores and treatment room were closed for hundreds of days. And while we have made every effort in the last 18 months to turn things around, the impacts of that, combined with lingering supply chain effects, slower sales, and a challenging economy are just too big for us to recover from.
We have always been a customer-first business and we aim to be that way until the end. It is our hope that the next couple of months will allow us to say goodbye to valued customers and to give you the chance to purchase some final products.
From a more practical perspective, the inventory that is currently listed on our site is all we have. We will not be restocking products. If you have a product you love that you want to stock up on you may want to do it sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. The exceptions to this are Hand Cream and HydrExtreme Sheet Masks. Despite our best efforts, those have taken a long time to restock. Our lab has told us they are doing everything possible to get them to us by November 10th. As soon as they are back in stock we will add them to the site for you to shop. Please check in around mid-November!

Our shutdown plan is as follows:
- Smile points will be available for redemption until Nov 8th.
- Products will be available for the next two weeks to shop at full price.
- After that we will be discounting remaining inventory, while it lasts.
- Our final shipment date will be December 18th.
The past 16 years have been a wild ride. From winning Grand Prize at the Canadian Beauty Innovation Awards, to our Skin+Care Run Club, to our stigma-shattering Mask+Masturbate program we’ve tried to do skin+care differently. We hope it has inspired you to think about your skin from a more holistic perspective.
Finally, thank you to our customers and community for showing up and lifting us up over the years. We truly have the best customers. You are what has kept us going. Please remember to keep showing up for the small businesses that you love. It means the world to them.
